Do you remember when you wanted to look through family photos it was as easy as pulling an album off of the shelf? Our children don't have that experience anymore. Instead, we've got the modern version of the Dusty Photo Shoebox. You know the ones, right? The ones your parents had literally everywhere but you never actually looked at them? Well, our camera rolls are like that!! We take endless photos and they just get stuffed away in the Camera Roll Abyss like the abyss of your grandma's dusty attic.

When our cameras landed in our pockets, it became so easy to take photos anytime and anywhere. But they just end up lost to the cloud 😅. Now, you might swipe through your camera roll when you miss your kids after they've gone to bed. But when have your kids ever looked through your camera roll? And how often do you actually print photos from your phone? 🤔 At Family Chronicles, we want to capture the feeling of giddiness we had as children flipping through family memories. We want to give our children the same gift of observing the family legacy in physical form that we had. It's the big & wonderful photo albums on the shelves with those plastic-covered sticky album pages. You know the ones right? We give you that, but so much better (as in, without all the stickiness and photos that always fall out of their place). 🙌

With our done-for-you service, you'll take photos on your phone just like normal. Then, every month, you'll get a reminder to share your photos from that month with us. You'll gather the photos, send them over electronically, then we'll get to work designing a beautiful album spread of that month's precious memories. At the end of the year, we'll compile all of your monthly album spreads into one gorgeous heirloom quality album for you to look at over and over.

I'm a mom of three and a wedding and family photographer. I started Family Chronicles because I know just how important it is to preserve your memories. My kids love looking through our family albums. When my friends started asking me, "where did you get such a beautiful album?" I decided to start helping them create their own legacy albums as well. I'm so excited to give you the same experience that I've had with our family albums!

As easy as it is to pull out your phone and take a photo, it's not easy to get those photos into an album. First you have to find all the photos you want to print, then figure out how on earth to get the photos on your computer, then spend time uploading the images. On top of that designing an album is time consuming and difficult! I've done my best to take all of the stress out of printing your photos so that the whole process is as easy as possible for you and fits into your busy schedule.

Choose your Plan
Step 1
The first step is to decide whether you'll pay monthly or all at once. You'll also be prompted to decide if you want to add on culling services and/or basic editing services. Without the culling service, you can only send in 20 photos per month. With the culling service, you can send in as many as you want! If you choose the editing upgrade, we'll apply basic edits to all of your images to make sure they look album ready!
Step 2
Start taking photos
Next, it's time to capture away with your phone just like normal! As part of our welcome email series, you'll receive a few tips on how to take better photos with your phone. But, it's best not to worry too much about taking the perfect photo and just focus on capturing those beloved memories as they take place.
Step 3
Send in your photos
Every month, you'll get an email reminder telling you it's time to submit your photos from the month. You'll choose your images you want to send in and submit them electronically. If you didn't chose the basic package, you'll pick your top 20 photos to send. If you chose the premium package, you can send as many as you want and I'll pick the best ones! You'll also get emailed instructions on how exactly to send them over if you're unsure. It's a piece of cake!
Step 4
Approve your design spread
Once you submit your photos, I'll get to work on your monthly design. When it's ready, I'll send it over for you to approve! Not happy with something? No worries! You'll get one round of edits if there's anything you want to swap out or change. After you approve it, we'll start the process all over again for the next month! We'll do it every month until we've documented the whole year!
Step 5
Choose your album cover
Near the end of the year, you'll get a questionnaire that will ask you about your album cover preferences. You'll be able to choose from a variety of high quality linen, leather, or vegan leather cover options. You'll also get to choose what to have on the front of the album and what font you like best. It's totally customizable to your needs! Oh, and want to get a different size? Don't worry! Size upgrades will be available to you at this time.
Step 6
Album delivered!
Hooray!! It's delivery day!! Once you've approved all of your monthly design spreads and you've selected your album cover and size preferences, I'll send the spreads over to print! You'll then get your album delivered right to your door. Easy peasy! Your family will love reliving your memories from the past year. The best part? You can put it on the shelf and flip through it for years and years to come. Success!

A: You can join anytime! You can either choose the pay in full option OR if you want to pay monthly, we will send you a separate invoice for the previous months you have missed to catch you up. Then, your monthly payment will take effect starting with your joining month.

A: If you choose to pay all up front, your payment is a one-time payment per each book. If you sign up on a monthly payment, the payment for your book is split up into 12 monthly payments. Once we have your current year’s book complete, you will have the option to sign up again in January. (We will remind you of this in an email in December so that you are reminded and so that you can get started right in January.)

A: Yes! In October when we touch base about choosing your album cover personalizations, we will also give you the option to order additional copies of your book at a discount. This is just in time for holiday gift giving. Imagine how easy!!

A: First of all, you don’t have to do ANY of the work to make them! They are done FOR you! You are busy and we want you to keep capturing your memories but let us do all the tasks of preserving them.
Secondly, Jessie is a professional photographer and has access to high quality albums that are only available to photographers, not to the consumer market. This means your album will be of an elevated quality and durability than products that are easily available to the public. Your memories deserve the best and to stand up to decades of being enjoyed!

A: The world is your oyster and we love creative projects to serve the needs you have. Family Chronicles can create for you the perfect baby book/first year of life book, lifestory book for a grandparent, travel log, high school or college recap book, etc. The sky is the limit! A: At the beginning of each month in your album, we add a blank page so that you can write in anything you want about that month in your life! We encourage you to keep a note on your phone to write down what you want to include on each monthly page so that you can write those things in when your book arrives.
Here’s what I include to write in on my monthly pages:
- Family gatherings
- Trips
- Birthdays
- Funny quotes from my kids
- Any specific explanation on photos I don’t want to forget
Also the pages of of a texture that if you wrote in next to the photos an explanation, your notes would not smear and would stand the test of time just like the photos do! Plus–as you look back, your family will love seeing your handwriting. (I know I love seeing my grandmother’s handwriting in her old albums as a kid!)

A: If you are ordering a book for this current calendar year, In October, we will send you a questionnaire with all the options laid out for you to choose! We will be sure that you feel good about your choices then and will answer any questions you may have.
If you book is for a previous year, we will send that questionnaire once you have submitted the photos for the year and get your personalizations nailed down asap!
